About
Building a lasting legal institution for private capital and real assets.
Startsun Law Company advises investors, funds, developers and businesses on private capital, investment structures, transactions and cross-border legal matters.
Who we are
Private Capital & Real Assets
We advise investors, funds, developers and businesses on how capital is structured, invested, protected and realised — and on the real assets in which it is so often held.
Our work sits where law meets investment: investment structures and funds, real estate investment and development, M&A and joint ventures, cross-border transactions, and the newer forms of digital capital.
Where a matter involves the law of another country, we act as lead or coordinating counsel and work with qualified local counsel, so that the client receives one coherent position.

Founder
Vadym Startsun
FounderLinkedIn
Vadym Startsun is the founder of Startsun Law Company and an advocate with more than six years of international legal practice.
Since 2021 he has been General Counsel of an international group working in real estate tokenization, digital assets and payments, with operations in the US, the BVI, the Cayman Islands, Indonesia, the EU and Canada. In that role he formed a US investment fund and handled its SEC filings, designed offshore fund and token structures, built and governs a group of more than 40 entities, led licensing and registration work in Canada, El Salvador and the EU, and set up AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, sanctions and data-protection frameworks. He leads an in-house team of four lawyers and coordinates external counsel in several jurisdictions.
From 2013 to 2021 he practised in Ukraine: corporate disputes up to the Supreme Court, real estate and construction projects — from due diligence and investment agreements to permitting and commissioning — and commercial and foreign-trade contracts.
The common thread is capital tied to real assets: how an investment is structured, documented and protected, whether it is a building, a fund or a tokenized interest. He holds an LL.M. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and works in English and Ukrainian.
He founded Startsun in 2026 to build a legal institution for investors, developers and businesses — one designed to outlast its founder and to grow through partners who share its standards.

Our philosophy
Our philosophy
“Build something worth inheriting.”
Lasting firms are not built on single transactions. They are built on standards that are kept when no one is checking, on relationships that outlive any one deal, and on the willingness of each generation to leave the institution stronger than it found it.
Mission
Our mission is to provide trusted legal advice that enables investors and businesses to structure, protect and develop capital and real assets across borders.
Vision
To build a lasting legal institution that serves capital, business and real assets across generations.
Principles
Seven principles we intend to be held to.
01
Long-term
We think beyond the transaction.
02
Trust
Trust is our most valuable asset.
03
Merit
Professional authority must be earned.
04
Institution
The firm is greater than the individual.
05
Capital
We understand the business behind the law.
06
International
We think across borders.
07
Legacy
Every generation must build on the previous one.
Long-term ambition
An institution, not a personal practice.
Startsun is being built as an institution rather than as a personal legal practice: one that can, in time, work independently of its founder and be handed on to the next generation. The founder is its origin, not its limit.
That means investing early in what institutions depend on: consistent methodology, documented knowledge, a culture of merit, and a brand that can carry future partners, future practices and — in time — related ventures under the Startsun name.
Founded in 2026. We would rather be judged by the quality of the work ahead than by a history we have not yet written.
